The new mass fuel oil flowmeters are a fact from now and on ! There is no more going to be cheats during bunkering on Sigapore ! All the barges of bunkering from 1st January 2017 have to install a mass fo flowmeter to proceed at the bunkering operation !

This is very good for us, the Merchant Marine Engineers, because these flowmeters, read fo temperature, density and of course quantity (flow), and the result is the reading in metric tonnes, and not in cubic meters !!! No more sounding !!!

These new flowmeters are easy easy started to be installed also to Merchant Marine Vessels, in engine rooms, and not only in barges !!! See below the flowmeter for the main engine fo unit during installation on July 2015 on a container vessel.
